Sermon Topic: What’s
going on
Sermon Notes:
We
are in the last days now! When we look at the scripture, when Paul wrote this
to Timothy this was a culmination of things. This wasn’t written to the world
this was written to the church.
The
church tolerates things that go against the word of God. We must call sin, sin.
The scripture doesn’t condone gay activity.
In
the schools it’s a fad to be gay. What is happening? The moral decay in our
society. The bible says they will not endure sound doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 –
the truth is not popular. The whole society is corrupt and decaying daily.
You
have the power to bring about change.
Genesis
1:6 – we have to take the authority given to stay in faith and say what thus
sayest the Lord. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. We have to
avoid commitment to worldly stuff.
1
John 2:16 -17 turn from sinful pleasures and godless living and turn to the
living God. Serve and obey him. We should live soberly, righteously and Godly,
we need to have confidence in God.
When we have trials, detours and distractions we must stay with the word of God. God says his word will accomplish exactly what God sent the word to do.
Be
steadfast in the faith. When things appear hopeless, I walk by faith not by
sight. We have the promise that when we wait on the Lord and be of good courage
when everything is falling apart I will still bless the Lord. They’ll never be
a day where I’ll stop praising him.
Learn
how to shout in the rain. Praise God when it doesn’t make sense. Pursue what’s
valuable to you. Don’t put your trust in your earthly treasures. It can all be
gone in an instant. Anything that takes away from prayer, worship and
fellowship is a trap.
You
can’t serve God and man. We already know how to be poor. You eat what’s before
you.
God
has blessed us. Prophesize to yourself. Say it I’m blessed. 2 Peter 1:3 – He’s
given us all thigns already.
Mathew
6:33 – Seek ye first the kingdom and all things will be added. When we put God
first we have a bountiful life.
When
I make God first, he makes me first. Move out of that environment. Maintain a
positive attitude. Stay positive.
James
1:2 – Count it all joy.
If
God wasn’t going to back it up, he wouldn’t have put it in the word. Don’t put
a time limit on God. He will show up at the right moment and time. He gives us
rest.
Every
morning we thank God for keeping our family and children.
Don’t
drift into negativity.
