There’s No Need to Worry

Sermon Date:  April 20, 2016

Sermon Topic: There’s No Need to Worry

Sermon Notes:

I don’t need to worry because I’ve given it to God. Even when things surrounding the situation pop up, I must remember that I gave it to god. Sometimes you’ll have misinformation. So you need spiritual awareness not to receive every conversation.

We need to stay away from the doubters. We shouldn’t worry because we have the knowledge. Spiritual knowledge is obtained through our acquaintance with God. Hosea 6:3 – Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. I know in whom I believe and I’m persuaded he’s able to do what he said he would do.

Where I am right now is not the place I will stay. Tho he slay me yet will I trust him – that’s the same knowledge that the three men who were thrown in the furnace had. I won’t move out of my place in God.

Philippians 4:14 – Rejoice always in the Lord. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praises shall continually be in my mouth.

We praise him because we gave it to him and he will keep it. Whatever we commit to him, he keeps. The power belongs to God. Glory in the fact that you understand and know him. When we rejoice it’s in the fact that we know God.

My needs are met. I’ll never go hungry and I’ll never thirst. When we obey God we receive the knowledge of God.

1 John 2:1 – If you commit something to God and worry about it afterwards you are being disobedient. We need the knowledge to please him. Once we get the knowledge we have the confidence that God will do what he promised and we have the assurance.

We must have confidence in God no matter the circumstance. We are able to endure difficulties.

We are precious in God’s eyes. Don’t get down on yourself when you make a mistake. Don’t keep reminding yourself of past failures, forget about what’s behind. That’s over with.

That can’t put a damper on your life – you still have a lot of living to do.

God’s mercy are new everyday and we need it. We have the confidence so that we can endure difficulty. We will have difficulty but we also have the assurance of God’s promise.

2 Corinthians 1:20 – All of the promises of God are yes and amen. If you have the faith to believe without doubting, you will receive. You have to be on guard to watch the negative thoughts that the enemy come s with. God said he will cast my sins into the sea of forgetfulness.

We are his!

No one can pluck me out of God’s hand. When he saved me, he saved me. The Holy Spirit leads, guides, protects and admonishes us. Since we have the Holy Spirit we must get an understanding and a relationship with God to know his will. We have to make decisions. We must first ask, is this what God wants me to do?

All of the answers are in the scripture.

Sometimes we want something that we don’t need. Sometimes we get things that we’re not at peace with. Knowledge liberates the soul from error.

John 8:31-32 – If you can continue in my word you may know the truth and the truth will make you free.

The word of God liberates us. It prevents us from stumbling by what the enemy throws. Spiritual growth is an ongoing process. We will never get to a point where we know everything.  We must continue to grow.

We are required to be diligent in our study, in our fellowship and in our worship if we are going to be lead by the word.

1 Peter 1:13 – We have to protect our minds. The enemy comes with images of craziness. Protect your mind.

We must live life every day as if it will be over in a minute.

Every single day is a race.
