Sermon Date: October 12, 2016
Sermon Topic: Opposition
Sermon Notes:
Opposition
in the kingdom is based on what we’ve done. We are saved by grace. Every yoke
has been destroyed. Never let past experiences set the agenda for your life.
Don’t dwell on your mistakes. Tomorrow is another day.
You
waste valuable time dealing with something that’s over with. Let it go.
Psalm
62:11 – God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this that the power belongs to
God. We have the tendency to credit ourselves with our own success. 2
Corinthians 3:5 – our sufficiency is of God. It is the Lord’s doing. My God
shall supply all of my needs. All you have to do is the right thing and he will
not withhold no good thing.
Temperance
– self-control – faith and knowledge are required.
Can
you control yourself?
We
must control our speech. We need patience. Don’t say anything and be wiling to
wait.
Wait
patiently on the Lord. Be Holy and Godly and show brotherly kindness. Be a
complete disciple of God.
Self
control is not just controlling your speech in the presence of others – it’s
also when you’re alone.
