Sermon Topic: Love
the word of God
Sermon Notes:
Throughout
scripture we see characters in the Bible
having to use faith. Abraham believed God. Hebrews 11:1 – When I establish
myself in who I am in Christ I’m not easily moved. Love the word of God more
than your necessary food.
When
you’re down and lonely meditate on God’s word and watch things happen.
How
much do you trust God? Can God really trust you?
Are
you a dependable disciple where God can trust you? The object of faith is God
and the subject of faith is God. We walk by faith and not by sight. What I see,
what the natural eye doesn’t move me to doubt.
If
you believe in God you automatically must believe in Jesus.
True
faith is demonstrated in obedience. God tests us by our faith and measures us
by our obedience. Faith is a spiritual force that operates in a spiritual
place.
Hebrews
11:1 – Every word of God is true. Now faith is the substance. It’s a firm
persuasion.
2
Corinthians 1:20 – All of God’s promises are yes and amen. If you’re having
trials of troubles don’t focus on the trouble. It is subject to change, it’s
only temporary.
Say
what’s coming next.
You
can never change what you believe until you change your belief system. If you
have faith and you keep focusing on the problem faith will not work.
Faith
acts like it is so, even when it’s not so, so it will be so.
Right
where you’re having a problem is where God wants to bless you. That’s why he
tells you to stand still and see. We see every predicament in our lives as
temporary. When God tells you he’s give you something believe it.
Intolerance
of your present will predict your future.
Hebrews
11:6 – without faith it is impossible to please God. The way is already made –
We don’t need to make a way.
When
we walk by faith we can do all things. (Philippians 4: 13)
True
faith works by love. There are some who will go their whole life but won’t tell
a soul about Jesus. Hear the word, receive it and bring forth fruit. Faith is
the only channel through which blessings can be received.
We
cancel blessings by what we say.
Believe
God for what you need.
Jeremiah
17:7-8 – You must be careful when storing up treasures – freely you’ve received
– freely give.
You’ve
been blessed. Bless other people. You can’t get more until you release what’s
in your hand. You can’t reap before you sow. I’m not worried because God will
continue to bless me.
Psalm
91 – make a faith confession. Words have power.
God
you are my fortress – he will deliver you. God covers us. There is no need to
worry.
Because
he covers me, nobody knows what I’m dealing with. Your faith will be tested but
it develops your character. We glory in tribulation.
Knowing
what tribulation does, it worketh patience, patience begets experience and
experience, hope.
The
instruction you follow will determine the product you produce. Everything you
need to live holy and righteous is in the manual. Meditate day and night on the
word to make your way prosperous.
2
Peter 3:5 – We must grow in faith.
