Starting Over Again

Sermon Date:  June 12, 2016

Sermon Topic: Starting Over Again

Sermon Notes:

Philippians 4:11 -12 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This one thing I do. There has to be priorities in our lives. How do you begin again when your life has been interrupted by failure?

Starting over is a process. It can be painful if you allow it.

Letting go of an idea, material, ventures are difficult. To reach our destiny you must understand that the one thing that keeps you from your future is your past.

There are some things in your life that you wont understand. All I know is that I’ve committed to God and I must take my hands off of it. There are things that God really doesn’t need your help with.

There are times where you have to wait.

It’s easy to form an attachment to people and things. Sometimes you have to let it go.

Intolerance of your present position will create your future.

Every situation and relationship leads you toward or away from your dreams. Hanging on to resentment breeds bitterness. Don’t let anyone else build your world. They will always build it too small.

It’s impossible to rehears failures and thing on negativity and have a positive outcome. Speak prophesy over yourself. Don’t talk about your failures. Don’t get down on yourself when you fail.

Don’t repress it.

Don’t hold on to the pain. Don’t say it’s no big deal or that something didn’t hurt. Acknowledge the hurt and move on.

Release grief. Release the anger, fear and grief. There is something in your life than what’s seen.

It will get better. I don’t know when, but it will get better. Life isn’t about waiting on the storm to pass.

Stop practicing what you will do and do it. John 5:7 – don’t lay the blame of your shortcomings on others.

Stop making excuses.

Your mouth sets the stage for your life. Your victory is as close as the roof of your mouth. Things turn out for the best for the best to be made out of things.

Find something to be thankful for.

Family is more than a household. Church is more than a building.
