Sermon Notes:
Nothing will happen in your life until you use your faith. Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Time does not decide our miracles; faith does. Your victory will only be realized in a renewed mind.
We must discipline our thoughts and our minds. Productivity takes place in your mind before it becomes evident in your life. To get to this point we must have the God-kind of faith.
What you say in the midst of your circumstances determines how long you will be in it.
Words are powerful, John 6:63 – It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. We speak the word of God into our situations.
Because we are born again believers our greatest opportunities sometimes come disguised as a problem. Don’t view every problem as a problem. It may look like a wall in front of you, but really it’s a door. It looks like an obstacle but really it’s a stepping stone.
Daniel 3:27 – And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. When they came out of the furnace there was no evidence that they were there. You should be able to go through problems without others knowing what you’re going through.
1 Corinthians 2:10 – But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. All of God promises are yes and amen. When God called Abraham where he was, he had to remove him from his father’s house because Abraham’s parents were idol worshippers.
Galatians 3:6 – Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. They that are of faith are the same as Abraham’s children. Whatever you’re dealing with you must get into the word and quote the promise of God into your situation.
We must challenge our ability. Your ability needs responsibility to expose the possibilities.
James 2:14 – What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Faith without works is dead. We walk by faith and not by sight. You must discipline your belief system. If you’re not careful your mind will wander. We don’t see with our eyes, we see through our eyes.
Without faith, what you see determines how you will respond.
See problems as opportunities.
There is no excuse for disobeying God’s word.
1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Whatever you are dealing with, there is a way of escape.
The attributes of God and the restored faculty of man, can be brought into existence, things that are not.
Matthew 17:20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Nothing will be impossible if you have the faith, the size of a mustard seed.
Mark 9:23 – Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Faith acts like it’s so, even when it’s not so, that it may be so.
Your words set the stage for your life. There may be times where it gets worse before it gets better. Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Have the faith and believe.
Psalm 84:11 – For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. No good thing will I withhold from you
Have faith and do the right thing.
Psalm 34:10 – The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Ask in faith and do right. We have to come to God with the right attitude towards God and each other. They that seek the Lord will not want any good thing.
Philippians 4:5-6 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Moderation = meekness, mildness, patience, kindness and gentleness to all men.
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I can let my moderation be known to all men, no matter how they behave; because we can do all things.
Isaiah 26:3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Romans 8:16-17 – The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
You can prosper and be in health, but we need the right attitude.
Talk expectations, not experiences.
When you speak about negativity, you rehearse defeat.
Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23 – the power of speech.
Whatever you desire – when you pray believe and you shall receive those things.
Pray the scripture back to God.
Remember when you pray, Forgive!
